First Aid Course Modules

Appointed Person (2 hours)
Audience
Adults (min age 16), especially those seeking an introductory overview.
Overview
This focused, theoretical session covers first aid legislation, risk assessments, required workplace equipment and responsibilities. Ideal for designated workplace first aiders needing basic understanding. Upon completion, attendees understand accident reporting and how to assess first aid needs in any environment.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW, 1 day)
Audience
Employees, individuals (min age 14 to train, 16 to practice in workplace).
Qualification
EFAW certificate, HSE-compliant.
Content
A lively blend of theory and practical, this course covers assessment of emergency situations, first aid hygiene, resuscitation (CPR), anatomy, treatment for choking, bleeding, shock, epilepsy, minor injuries and managing unresponsive casualties. Offered as in-person or blended online/in-person sessions. Perfect for workplaces needing to meet HSE requirements.
First Aid at Work (3 days)
Audience
Workplace staff, supervisors (min age 14 to train, 16 to act as first aider).
Qualification
Ofqual regulated FAW certificate, valid for 3 years.
Overview
This advanced course is the gold standard for workplace physical first aid in Norfolk. You'll cover the full spectrum of support including CPR, managing unconsciousness, severe bleeding, head injuries, sprains, strains, and other common workplace emergencies. Doctor-led scenarios closely reflect real incidents you might face at work.
First Aid at Work Requalification (2 days)
Audience
Currently qualified first aiders (min age 14 to train, 16 to practice in the workplace).
Qualification
Ofqual regulated, extends validity by 3 years.
Content
Designed for those already certified and needing to refresh and deepen first responder skills. This requalification course ensures you're always equipped to handle emergency situations and compliant with current standards.
Paediatric Emergency First Aid (1 day)
Audience
Anyone working with children or babies (min age 16).
Qualification
FAA Level 3 in Paediatric Emergency First Aid.
Content
Complies with EYFS and OFSTED guidance. Focuses on life-saving skills for babies and children including CPR, managing choking and severe bleeding. Perfect for teachers, nursery staff and carers in Norfolk seeking specialised doctor-led training.
